A community-driven education assistance initiative
Since 2010, Zab has been involved with personal community initiatives for youth development in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. His areas of interest include education (Project N.E.S.T.), sports (ultimate frisbee team Keni Discs), culture (Fernandino Student Tourguides), and youth service (YAY! - Youth Activating Youth). Zab is also a faculty member of the John Gokongwei School of Management at the Ateneo de Manila University.
Robert Joseph C. Batac, or "Bert Batac" as he's fondly known, is a seasoned IT professional and entrepreneur. A graduate of BS Computer Science from Saint Louis University, he has been involved in the IT industry since a young age. He started his first computer business at 20 and later pursued a career in academia, teaching at the University of Baguio and authoring two handbooks on Thesis Writing and Computer Programming.
His professional journey has taken him to various roles, from junior programmer to account manager, in an Australian IT company based in Clark Freeport Zone. He has gained international experience through assignments in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and other countries, where he provided IT services, training, consultancy, and business development.
In 2010, Mr. Batac founded BMWARE I.T. Business Solutions Enterprises Inc., a company that continues to thrive and expand its operations in the Philippines and Australia. Beyond technology, he is also a seasoned entrepreneur, owning BM Build Construction. His passion for knowledge and spirituality led him to author two books: "Personal Journey to the Old Testament" and "Rediscovering the Commandments."
Currently, Mr. Batac dedicates his time to business consultancy for various businesses, corporations, and local government units both domestically and internationally. He is also actively involved in community service. He has served as a committee head in the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and is the current president of the ICT Council of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga and the interim president of the ICT Industry Board of Pampanga. He is the president of the International Taekwondo Federation of the Philippines and a co-founder of Fund the Fight Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting families of children with cancer. Additionally, he volunteers at KidsCancervive Inc. Foundation and serves as the VP for Research and Development of MSAB at the Philippine Air Force.
